This page shows photos of the build from start to finish. It includes a slide show for each month of the build with the most recent slide show at the top. August - August 4 and 7 were spent in preparation for the Global Village Team's work during August 9-13. We lined up the starter strips for the siding, Noble framed the front porch, and we finished the strapping for the siding. The Global Village Team did a great job - working mostly on the siding, building the front porch, and painting the shed. People from the community welcomed the Global Village team and provided lots of delicious snacks, lunches and dinners throughout their time with us. We are most greatful to the TEAM and to everyone who worked with them and made sure they had a memorable visit to Vermont. Vermont Foam insulated the exterior walls on September 18. We worked mostly on the siding. Site Supervisor, Steve Newton, worked on the back entrance. On Saturday, August 27, a group from the Old First Church of Bennington worked mostly on the sheetrock for the ceiling in two upstairs bedrooms. They did a great job.
These photos are from July. As of the end of July, we had completed 24 days of work on the home and estimate that we are half way done. We had great support from the community averaging over 20 volunteers every build day.
