Auction 2010 - Teamwork made the dream work!  We held our auction on Saturday, July 24th at A Safe Place Self-Storage in East 7024-10-perspectiv-looking-Dorset. The summer auction is the major fund raiser for Habitat.  Clarke Camollo was our auctioneer.  A small army of volunteers worked for almost a year with pickups, as runners, lifters and movers, and money collectors on the day of the auction, and cleaning and organizing the items for the auction and the tag sale.  Last, but not least, many people helped to clean up after the auction.

We are extremely grateful to everyone who made generous donations to the auction and to the many volunteers whose hard work and positive spirit made it an extremely successful event.  There were 116 bid cards issued and 61 bought at the auction.  Gross sales will top $10,000!

Marion La Torella and her tag sale team worked for a solid week to clean, organize, and price items for sale.  Thanks to their hard work, the tag sale netted $1,576!

Things of value that did not sell were donated to the Hoosick Falls, ERC Community Warehouse.  In this way we were able to help another organization that does good things for the community.

Most of all, we thank Ruth Stewart, our auction coordinator, and Chalie Stewart for their tireless work.  Ruth's strong leadership and attention to detail was clearly evident.
