Meet the Cooper Family
Roy and Brenda Cooper with children Jen, Cody and Shawna are very excited about beginning their new home with Habitat. While Roy enjoys fishing and shooting, he is looking forward to having a basement where he can tinker and a porch where he and Brenda can enjoy a swing. Best of all is that the porch will have a handicap ramp which will enable Roy's mother to visit her son and family in their home for the very first time.
Jen is a senior at BBA this year where she enjoys music and dancing. She is planning for her own space even, if it is in the basement! Thirteen year old Cody likes fishing, biking, basketball and baseball. He can't wait for a room with a desk in it. Shawna shares her mother's love of fishing and drawing and is excited about having her own room and living near family, especially cousin, Gracie Lewis. Cody and Shawna know they can't work on the build because they are too young, but they are thinking about other ways to help such as baking for the volunteers.
Roy, who works as Lead Person in the Orvis Rod Shop, hails from Middletown Springs and Brenda from the Manchester area, and they currently live in Manchester. Brenda is Randy Lewis' sister. All the Coopers know new friendships will be made as they meet and work with the many volunteers who will help them build their new home on Jennifer Lane.
We broke ground on the home for Brenda and Roy Cooper and their family of three children in early August.

During May, we will fix the drainage and complete the landscaping for the Cooper home. We will also build a wheelchair ramp.

The two-story home was designed by Larry Kolloff of Rockwood Design Group. This home is a replica of the home we built on Silver Street in Bennington except that it does not have the side addition for a room on the side.
Brenda and Roy have always dreamed about having a front porch.
