Want to support our efforts with a cash donation? An average house costs us $90,000 to $100,000 to build or renovate, including the cost of land, Every donation counts! We have minimal administrative expenses and no employees. About 95% of every dollar raised helps build a home.
Planned Giving - Helping in the Future - Habitat for Humanity Legacy Society
The Habitat for Humanity Legacy Society recognizes the importance of legacy gifts in eradicating poverty housing. To become a member of the Legacy Society, you must plan to benefit Habitat for Humanity after your lifetime -- whether in the form of a bequest, annuity, or other planned giving arrangement -- and notify Habitat of your plans.
Providing a way for families to achieve the security of safe, affordable housing is our continuing goal. As you plan for your future and the security of your loved ones, Habitat for Humanity International has numerous planned giving options that allow you to make a meaningful charitable gift to support Habitat's mission either locally or elsewhere in the United States or in other countries after your lifetime. It does not substitute for getting advice from a financial advisor and lawyer whom you know and trust. But, this information could be a very good way to learn enough to ask the right questions.

On Line Contributions - using a credit or debit card
You can donate on line through the Habitat for Humanity website. While convenient for donors, we prefer that donations be made by check directly to us. The current processing fee is 10.4 %.
Donors who wish to use this service and to have the balance of their donation come to our affiliate should use this link. You will be directed to Habitat's site. You will be given two options; "Use My Gift" OR "Designate Your Gift" and select our affiliate from the list. If you want your contribution to support our work in Vermont, please select "Designate Your Gift." Remember that 10.4 of all credit card gifts will be kept by Habitat International to recover their administrative costs.
