Information for Volunteers should plan to arrive no earlier than 8:30 a.m. We usually work to until 3:30 on Wednesdays and Saturdays. People are welcome to work as long or as little as their time allows. It is good to bring work gloves. We will take a mid morning break with coffee, tea, water and a light snack. We also will have a light lunch on both days.

Site Safety - It is very important that you know and practice our basic safety rules. Please download a copy.

Unskilled Help with Construction
We welcome volunteers with little or no experience. There is almost always work that can be done by people who do not have much experience.

 Skilled Help with Construction
We always need help from volunteers who are experienced with any aspect of construction. In particular, it is very helpful when those people with special skills are willing to assist others who have little or no experience.

A lot of work continues needs to be done off site. Contact us if you want to help with this work on or off site. Please see About Us for more detailed descriptions of our committees.

Ways to help off site

Development - We need to raise funds so we have sufficient financial resources to build our next home and homes that will follow.

Community Relations - We work to increase awareness about the need for affordable housing in our community and about our efforts to meet the challenge. This commitee will continue its outreach to people of all faiths to build awareness and support for our work.

Site Committee - Of immediate importance is to find a property for a home we would like to begin after we complete the Rupert home.

Board of Directors - This group helps shape the scope and direction of our work in our community. Our goal is to build a sustainable organization.

Please let us know if you want to help with any of these committees.
